Monthly Investment P/L: HK$-606.6k

A bit late to write this month’s review since I have been in HK since Oct30.

Anyhow needless to say, not a great month on the investment front.

Although still up from the lowest back in June/July and should be safe from margin calls for now.

Not much to do since everything down at the same time. Just need to sit tight and wait for things to recover.

Current Portfolio:

HKD/USD cash: 5.79% (5.33%)

US/JP stocks: 59.93% (55.49%)

A not great month on all fronts.

Gold down a lot, BTC also down, stocks down as well (at least the ones I’m holding).

Kind of like a repeat of June but to a lesser degree and gold has practically fallen further, while BTC is holding up fortunately.

US+JP Equity

Slightly down month for stocks, but nothing particular eye-catching.

Huge down day after the midterms, not Oct event but I guess I’ll write it here as well.

Anyhow, just holding here.

Gold

Repeat of last month, downward pressure due to higher oil prices and higher rates.

Midterm actually kind of caused it to go lower but then went higher after midterm was actually over.

Anyway its still kind of down in the dump at 4k but relatively it’s actually much stronger than stocks and BTC in recent 1-2 weeks.

Crypto

Pretty big drop after the Binance hack, -5%.

Down again after the midterms and the US tech stock sell-off.

Bought just a little bit of the dip but leverage ratio has already gone quite a bit higher so will be cautious.

USDJPY

super nothing month for USDJPY.
